Wonder Seafood Restaurant: Authentic Cantonese Dim Sum Experience in Edison, NJ

We love dim sum and have tried at least five places in the area. We think the best dim sum restaurant in the Somerset area is Wonder Seafood. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and has an authentic atmosphere. If you go on a weekend, we recommend arriving shortly after they open because it gets crowded quickly. The ladies pushing the carts are always friendly and smiling as they recommend dishes, which makes the experience even better. All the dishes are excellent, but we especially recommend the rice kanji, eggplant, and shrimp dumplings. The prices are very reasonable as well.

One of the best Dim Sum spots in NJ. A bit on the pricey side but the food taste great and there are plenty of options to choose from. Staff is attentive and polite. They come around with food pretty frequently and aren't too pushy. The shrimp and fish here are really good and I highly recommend.

I haven't been here in 10 years since I moved to another state. It tasted just like it did 10 years ago—so delicious, especially the lunch specials. They're cheap and big portions.

We have eaten here many times and always had good food but this was our first time ordering take out. The take out was good but not great. The fried rice tasted smoky or burnt, there were barely any shrimp and the wonton soup was not very good. Better to dine in.

Super good place to have breakfast and lunch.It is always busy and they provide more than 20 types of steamed dishes. I like special services -- dim sum on weekends and you can try all kinds of hongkong food .Recommend to try shrimp dumplings. On weekends, if you go there around noon,it is hard to find a parking spot because so many people come. Super yummy and cheap restaurant, recommend to go definitely!!!!!

For me the best dim sum experience of the Chinese restaurants in this area especially in taste. The restaurant doesn’t seem to as busy since Golden Seafood opened and many of the old staff at Wonder work at Golden now. However good for me as it easier to get in and I think the food is much better overall than Golden Seafood. I really like Dim Sum here over any of the other places in this particular area. I think for dinner dishes seafood dim sum on route 1-9 is a bit little better.

Went with group of people as I was visiting Central NJ. This place is your standard old school dim sum restaurant with push cart ladies hawking their delectable dishes. Standard fare with some unique items. Place was packed with locals on weekend day, suggest going early to avoid wait. Don’t know cost since I got treated.
